Special Someone Saturday: Kaleb Ballard

This week of Special Someone Saturday is brought to you by Myra McEntire's Hourglass trilogy. As a huge fan of her books, and just having finished Timepiece *Check out the review here* I knew my special someone this week would be, the one and only Kaleb Ballard. 

Kaleb was the guy in the first book in the trilogy who didn't get the girl, and was well in a rut. A lot has happened to him in the past year, so he has taken up to the whole drinking game and shizz. But luckily early on in Timepiece (literally the first chapter) Kaleb has found someone. And him and this someone are seriously THE PERFECT COUPLE. Both bad asses, intelligent, and not the annoying whinny type. 

So generally when reading about a guy who is awesome, he sorta automatically becomes a special someone. 

To give you an idea of the awesome that is Kaleb here are a few quotes which will definitely show you what I am talking about.

Exhibit A: 

“I'm a bad ass. A bad ass who bakes when he's depressed.”

First of all, a guy who can cook/ bake is just swoon worthy, and I somehow found the fact that he knows he is a bad ass was really hot. I know, I know it sounds cocky, but it fits is dark humor personality, and sarcasm. 

Exhibit B:

“You are sweetness and light. Human cotton candy.”

Okay, come on, how is that not swoon worthy? If a guy said that to you I am pretty sure your heart will flutter a little.  I'm pretty sure I even blushed when reading that line, even though it wasn't said to me *sigh*. Kaleb is full of all these romantic lines, but they aren't super cheesy or cliche, and they have humor behind them too *funny is always a win*. 

Exhibit C:

“I'm simply reminding you that you're worth more than what you'll find at the bottom of a bottle.”

A guy who can boost your self confidence, and reminds you, that you are worthwhile is the best. He isn't trying to overpower you, and shows he generally cares. Man, Kaleb is too sweet... under the tattoos and piercings, he's like a teddy bear! :3

After so much pondering and google image searching I think I have finally found my Kaleb. I really think the following guy gits, he just needs to be a bit buffer. But on that note here we have Dave Franco (as Kaleb Ballard)!

I mean look at that face, it's sorta kinda beautiful.  I love love love his eyes, they have a shine to them, a charisma.

More eyes <3 I guess I just love black and white pictures, but he looks so good! I can honestly see him as Kaleb. 

Hehe more color pictures, gosh in the second picture I see him giving that look to Lily in the first scene of Timepiece....how did she not *swoon* *die* *swoon*?!
