Review of Shatter Me

*There is minor language...so watch out for that*

Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days. The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
Of all things awesome, Tahereh Mafi, captured it all! This book had everything...such as :
  • Strong plot
  • amazing Characters
  • A lead female who is witty, smart, and has the ability to say no
  • An Amazing guy, who is just to damn hot ! (mind my language)
  • An awesome villain who is witty, and sarcastic ( brought lots of humor, which was good)
That was my 5 main bullet points why this book was awesome. But that doesn't some up everything, not even close to everything! I was lucky enough to get an ARC of Shatter Me, and wow it is phenomenal!
The plot starts off strong, I love the fact Juliette would say something, but means something else. Like one of favorite parts she goes..."He's Gorgeous Dangerous..." Juliette (writes/ talks/ thinks) like this through the whole book, which adds a great effect. Juliette may something and worry about something else. It makes her seem so teenager-ish and mature but immature. Juliette is the type of girl, all girls should want to be. Not the fact she is considered a "criminal" , but the fact, she is sweet, and caring, but she is strong. Her strength is endless, when everyone hates Juliette, she still continues to care for others, and continues to try to fit in. When mister bad guy (Waren) asks her to do certain things ( will not say what, since you need to read the book to know) she becomes all feisty and gets her job done first.  She saves people, and she is just totally kick butt since she can break a wall of concrete! She is strong mentally, and physically! If i was a guy i would totally fall head over heals for her....plus she is pretty according to 3 diffrent people..sooo hmmmm... lol
But Juliette is great no doubt, but for me Adam is way better. I finally found a fictitious guy who follows every criteria I look for in a guy. He contains all four "S" (s) which are
  • Sweet
  • Smart
  • Sensitive
  • So Damn sexy ;)
He is a just....WOW! He is the tall, dark and handsome...and he has the blue eyes :D! Now that makes me happy, as you can tell from previous reviews I love guys with, dark hair and blue/ green eyes. Once you read Shatter Me you will completely understand why I love him!
But not only is there Adam...There is also Waren and Kenji. So Waren may be evil, and Keji might be a smart ass....but both of them are way to funny! I love their sarcastic charm. There are some parts where i don't care if Waren is evil, he has to much charm! ( Yes, I do like the bad-boy type FYI lol). And then other times I think Kenji's flirting is too funny. So this book has three charming guys, all three hot, one is the sweet amazing later to be boyfriend, then the evil 19 year old who wants the girl, and then the boyfriends best friend. It is too awesome!
Shatter me ended up being a great book, and an amazing read! Though in the middle, I felt that the book began to drag for a little bit. Which brought down form the book, but then it picks up again, and then it becomes awesome lol. SO overall Shatter Me is phenomenal, and Tahereh Mafi is kick butt for writing this book! I would give Shatter Me a 4.5 /5 only because i felt like it dragged a little bit, but if those 30 pages werent there this book would totally be a 5! It is amazing and this book and comes out on November 15 ! so pre-order it, and buy it when it comes out!

There are so many books, I love to read no doubt about it....but there are some that I can read over and over and over and over...and Never get tired of them! A Series I can just read over and over are The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare and the Prequel series of The Infernal Devices.

But Book that I Have read almost 30 times, and i can still read it is Unwind by Neal Shusterman! Oh how I love that Book! And Neal is also turning this into a series with the next book coming out late called Unholy!

Review of A Need So Beautiful

A Need So Beautiful (A Need So Beautiful, #1)

We all want to be remembered. Charlotte's destiny is to be Forgotten...

Charlotte’s best friend thinks Charlotte might be psychic. Her boyfriend thinks she’s cheating on him. But Charlotte knows what’s really wrong: She is one of the Forgotten, a kind of angel on earth, who feels the Need—a powerful, uncontrollable draw to help someone, usually a stranger.

But Charlotte never wanted this responsibility. What she wants is to help her best friend, whose life is spiraling out of control. She wants to lie in her boyfriend's arms forever. But as the Need grows stronger, it begins to take a dangerous toll on Charlotte. And who she was, is, and will become--her mark on this earth, her very existence--is in jeopardy of disappearing completely.

Charlotte will be forced to choose: Should she embrace her fate as a Forgotten, a fate that promises to rip her from the lives of those she loves forever? Or is she willing to fight against her destiny--no matter how dark the consequences.

So after seeing some intense scene tweets by Suzanne Young and reading multiple positive reviews for A Need So Beautiful, well of course I had to read it. And well this past weekend, I Stayed up and finished this book. Right off the bat, this book is one of those books, you read, and when you reach the ending, you realize it's done. This is one of those type of books that you read, and don't realize you just finished. While reading I seriously never realized how quick I was reading.
I thought while reading it would be 3 in the morning but it would only be 1! It is such a quick book to get through! The concept of the Forgotten was also awesome. While reading i started to feel depressed. Poor Charlotte had to make the worst decisions, and trying to place myself in her position I felt her pain. But, with all the Pain there was some awesome smooching scenes ;).
And well the Guy in charge, was Harlan. He is the sweet sensitive biker bad-boy. He is so romantic! so looks I saw him decent looking (normal not overly hot) but his personality charmed me.He has that over protective boyfriend personality, but he still give the girl freedom. He literally has the perfect personality for sure.
Overall I enjoyed the book, and I need the Second installment now! I can't wait till 2012! I would give A need So Beautiful 3.5 or a 4/5 . This book was great but there is always room for improvement! Otherwise this is a great books, and I recommend it to everyone looking for a moving read! :)

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

Review of Imaginary Girls

Chloe's older sister, Ruby, is the girl everyone looks to and longs for, who can't be captured or caged. When a night with Ruby's friends goes horribly wrong and Chloe discovers the dead body of her classmate London Hayes left floating in the reservoir, Chloe is sent away from town and away from Ruby.
But Ruby will do anything to get her sister back, and when Chloe returns to town two years later, deadly surprises await. As Chloe flirts with the truth that Ruby has hidden deeply away, the fragile line between life and death is redrawn by the complex bonds of sisterhood.
With palpable drama and delicious craft, Nova Ren Suma bursts onto the YA scene with the story that everyone will be talking about.
Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma...is not your typical YA novel. It makes you think, and while reading you feel this chilling feeling. The book itself, was very intriguing. And I ended up being interested in the book right away. I can't say it's the best book I have read all year, but it is not bad.
The book was a wee bit slow in the begging, not very slow but for a while, i was craving for more story and less about how Chloe saying how great Ruby was. After about 200 pages or so, the book becomes difficult to put down (for me at least). The story it self is so chilling, and there is so much mystery you end up reading it just to know what happens!
The book does get annoying at times, when Chloe is always following Ruby, but it also sweet how much she looks up to her sister. While reading, I felt as clueless as Chloe. The Mystery just killed me basically, and when the book finished, there were a couple of unanswered questions, but the book itself made up for it.
Imaginary Girls flowed so beautifully, and was so powerful. When most books in YA have hot guys (not that I oppose), romance, and happily ever afters, Nova Ren Suma was able to create a book that was basically completely different from the usual YA. Technically as well the language, and wholeness of the book was very complete. This book is not meant for everyone, but if you enjoy something meaningful, chilling, different, and powerful~ you will enjoy this book. This Book is already out, and it is a changing read for sure :). I would rate this book 4/5 and i hope to see more from Nova soon :) .

Review of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
A mysterious island.
An abandoned orphanage.
A strange collection of very curious photographs.
It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.
A spine-tingling fantasy illustrated with haunting vintage photography,Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.

Hearing such great reviews all over the blogosphere,  Goodreads, and elsewhere I decided this book must be read. Lucky enough last week receiving it in my mail box, I was able to get started on it right away! And Well this Book is Just amazing !
      I have never read anything this unusual, this different, and this scary in a sense ever in Ya fiction or any kind of fiction...IT WAS FANTASTIC! First of all there are way to many reasons why this book is jut as amazing as it is, such as;

  • It had amazing language, and while reading it, It didn't feel like reading YA, but it was! It wasn't overly mature, and there was great comedy
  • The Pictures were an amazing touch to the story. It made the book seem authentic, and so real!
  • There was a little bit of romace, and with that romance there was comedy, which made it a read that can be loved by all ages.
  • Characters were well developed, and you can easily picture each character ( the pictures helped). Each character had a distinct personality, and each Peculiar child was so unique and lovable...most of them
  • The plot, grabbed you pretty quick, and it is difficult to put the book down afterwords
  • Lastly, The whole mystery and discovery aspect allowed you to connect with the main characters, which made reading it way more entertaining.
So As you can see... I adored this book! I can only see say go get yourself a copy because it is totally worth it ! So Yes this may be a short Review, but for This books, i am at a loss of words, and you just need to read the book, and discover the magic :D ! I would absolutely positively give this book a 5/5 ! And now I need a Sequel ASAP!

Review: Crossed (Matched #2) by Ally Condie

In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky - taken by the Society to his certain death - only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.

Cassia's quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander - who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia's heart - change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.

Review: Liesl & Po by Lauren Oliver

Liesl lives in a tiny attic bedroom, locked away by her cruel stepmother. Her only friends are the shadows and the mice, until one night a ghost appears from the darkness. It is Po, who comes from the Other Side. Both Liesl and Po are lonely, but together they are less alone.

That same night, an alchemist's apprentice, Will, bungles an important delivery. He accidentally switches a box containing the most powerful magic in the world with one containing something decidedly less remarkable.

Will's mistake has tremendous consequences for Liesl and Po, and it draws the three of them together on an extraordinary journey.

From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Oliver comes a luminous and magnificent novel that glows with rare magic, ghostly wonders, and a true friendship that lights even the darkest of places.
