About

The Blog: The Reading Fish started in June of 2011. I had wanted a blog for a while; around June Zareen from Reach for the Stars...and the Books and I finally had the guts to start our blogs! We were originally going to make one blog for the both of us and be co-authors, but we didn't realize we could do that. So now we have to separate blogs but still work together. <- Scratch that! She has actually joined me as a co-blogger! Keep reading to find out about her!

The Girl: Hey guys, I'm Ishita (ee-she-tha) but you can call me Fishy if that floats your boat. I am the girl behind The Reading Fish. I have been a reader all my life...Like seriously ALL my life.
I started reading at the age of 3, and haven't stopped since. I am an avid reader, and if I could have it my way I would never stop. Reading is what I do, but writing not so much lately I have been writing a lot. Books are my escape, especially YA fiction!
Currently in college, I've learned a lot more about myself than I ever thought I would. Initially pre-med I am now switching gears to International Affairs and Economics hoping to go into business. In high school (when I started the blog) I was really active on campus, and I realized I LOVE talking and interacting with people, so if you ever have any questions or just feel chatty, feel free to say hi! If you wan't to know more about me, check me out on  twitter :D

The Best Friend, and now Co-Blogger: Hi there! My name's Zareen, also known as Taco due to the pronunciation of my last name. I'm a college junior who can constantly be found with a book in hand. I was an academic decathlete in high school, which is also where Ishita and I started a young adult book club. Alongside my passion for reading, I'm a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team. I also write YA in my spare time. I think blogging will remain the extent of my published content, but hey, who really knows? For my more chatty (and ridiculously fangirly) side, feel free to follow @MizzFictionista on Twitter! :)
