Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Pure (Covenant, #2)

There is need. And then there is Fate
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude or killing her.

When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.
First off, let me say sorry for not being consistent with the posts! I never thought I would be this busy, ever, but I though I complain about being busy, I sorta kinda really love it. <--confused much?

Ok, ok, sorry about that. Now that I have gotten that out of the way *phew*, PURE. Pure is the second installment in the Covenant Series, which is by the fabulous Jennifer L. Armentrout. Usually in a series, the books after the first one is never as good as the previous books. But JLA proved me wrong. Pure was fast paced, an emotional roller coaster, with "oh-so-many" hot gorgeous guys. Pure made me an emotional mess,  that is a good thing though, just keep reading you'll understand why.

The story line for Pure follows Half-blood beautifully. There is no large gap, where the reader is confused, and there is a good enough recap that you know what is going on. the starts right off in the middle between a daimon fight and Alex. Alex is more kick-ass in Pure then she was in Half-blood. All the action and drama in Pure made for a riveting plot and fast paced story.

On one side there is this great plot, and then on the other is an even more amazing set of characters! Alex Andros, is a kick-ass half-blood who totally care-free but still knows how to kick daimon ass. Then you have Aiden *swoons at the name* who is noble, proper, but OH MY GOSH he follows all the rules (this is a problem). And then we have Seth, I do not like Seth...well I thought I didn't till I read Pure anyway. I'll be honest Aiden still be on top out of my book boyfriends, but Seth is a close second. He is the "bad-boy" in this story, but I kinda want Alex to have Aiden, so Seth could be mine ;) (Obviously in a fictional world...duhh). The whole half-love triangle thing just gives me a whiplash, but it is oh so entertaining!

I promise you Pure will not disappoint. JLA has a way with words, and epic story lines. There is not a single moment you will be bored, and not a single moment where you will know what happens next. Staying up till 4 in the morning to finish, Pure is probably one of my most favorite reads of 2012. All I can say is I can not wait for Deity! *Which is almost out!* Pure for sure receives a 5+/5. Get your copy asap, this is a book for everyone.
