Review of Paradox the Angels are Here

Paradox - The Angels Are Here (Paradox #1)

The Summary

Nine hundred years ago, under the complete cover of darkness, the Grigorian army rose silently from their underground lair and attacked the Bulguardian Royal Palace. The bloody and violent battle between the two most legendary houses raged on. All but destroying the majestic Royal City of Altair.
It was not the first war that Juliette had endured between good and evil. And it most certainly would not be her last.
Today, a little girl's world is turned upside down by a visitor, the Angel of Death. She finds herself trapped in a nightmare, consumed by her paralyzing loss and overwhelming grief. The haunting visions and untimely deaths of others are a constant reminder that life and death are only a heartbeat away

My Review (Could not finish the Book)
I received an e-book of Paradox from the Author for review a month or so ago, I stalled reading it for a while, until about 3 hours ago when I started reading on my flight from Brussels to Chicago.  And well in these three hours I have realized this book is not meant for me.
The Biggest reason for me having trouble finishing the book was the writing style. It was a mix, of very sophisticated words next very I guess juvenile words (not that juvenile or sophisticated is bad, I don’t like them mixed together), it made the writing inconsistent in language. While reading I also ended up comparing this book to many other books I have read now days that have to do with angels, and from comparison this book wasn’t able to match up to many books out there. I can’t say much about this book since I wasn’t able to complete it, so I can’t give it a rating.
Others new to Reading books related to angels will enjoy it more than I did, and maybe it was me, and my crazy opinions (and my not so good idea of creating comparisons) that stopped me from completing the book as a whole. So for any new readers to this genre I recommend you give this book a chance, you might end up liking it. This just wasn’t my cup of tea.
