Sweltering Heat, Bloggers, Authors, and Books

Those who have met me know I love going to book festivals, signings, or any event really! I love to go out, meet new people, and at the same time spend the the day doing something that I love. So as some of you may have heard, a few weeks ago I had gone to the LA Times Festival of Books :D Like last year there was crazy heat, amazing authors, food trucks, and all around fun. But unlike last year my best friend couldn't make it :(, the group I went with was still awesome but they were the younger siblings of our group last year, and we had no solid game plan *woops*.

The day before Zareen and I had made a game plan, but after she got sick, I had to somehow manage on how to cover all the things we wanted. I couldn't have accomplished it all without the help of

Ava and Kristen! :D These two are amazing bloggers and most of all friends! They were awesome enough to let my group and I join them in our little adventure throughout USC :D As we waiting in long lines, stood in the piercing heat, and sweated our souls out we still somehow remained sane. Having good company definitely helped, and the fact that I was on a mission was a definite motivation :D

Because Taco wasn't there I wanted to get a little paper signed for her. It was a sign that said "We miss you Zareen, get well soon!!" :D each author signed it and took a picture, so I ended up with this for her:

I also got Veronica Roth, Victoria Schwab, and Cassandra Clare to sign it but i couldn't get a picture of them with it :( You can check out Zareen's post here.

With my mission complete I was definitely beyond excited! I not only got meet some of my literary idols, get books signed, and meet up with awesome bloggers like Jamie from Two Chicks on Books, Tahereh from Books as You Know It and Nancy from Tales of the Ravenous Reader!

Also the girls and I (the girls from my group) goofed around quite a bit x) Us + camera + randomly funny things =

So even though it wasn't how I exactly planned, it was so many different types of amezaballs! :D I hope I can make it next year, because this is one of my favorite events of the year, and I am glad I was lucky enough to make it. The heat, the bloggers, the books, and the authors definitely make this event what it is, and without one of these things you wouldn't have The LA Times Festival of Books <3
