She's one of the Nephilim--the descendants of humans and angels--which gives her some serious psi skills and a mission for redemption. Just when Lil thinks she's found a balance between her normal life with human friends and her training to become a Guardian, she's warned that someone close to her will betray her. When the boy she loves starts acting strangely and one of her human friends acquires a supernatural ability, Lil begins to realize that someone is manipulating the people she loves... and won't stop until she's been lured to the dark side.
Interviewer: Hi, Lil. Thank you for agreeing to talk to me. Please, have a seat.
Lil (in a Gypsy and top, sit and crosses her legs): Thanks.
Interviewer (smiles at her): I will try to be quick because I know how busy you are. Can you tell me a bit about yourself??
Lil: I am a Guardian, one of the Nephilim or children of the original fallen angels as humans often call them. We guard humans by fighting the evil group of our race, who want to destroy humanity. You guys call demons. Like most Nephilim, I have special abilities—I can manipulate things with my psyche/mind. I can lift things with my mind, compel you to do stuff or make you to forget.
Interviewer (leans forward): Really? Like what
Lil (looks into her eyes): You will forget you asked me that question
Interviewer: Really? Like what?
Lil (chuckles): Now move on to the next question.
Interviewer (blinks): What are some of your favorite things to do, eat, hear, smell…uh, the last one might be a bit creepy…?
Lil (chuckles): Not really. Favorite thing? Hmm, hanging out with Bran or the junior Cardinals. I love strawberries. Hear? Listening to Bran read to me. He has a beautiful voice. Smell? Pine scent.
Interviewer: Why pine scent?
Lil (shrugs): Because.
Interviewer: Oh, I remember. It is his favorite scent
Lil (blushes): Next question
Interviewer: When you first discovered you were a Nephilim, what was the first thought that went through your head?
Lil (smiles dreamily): That the person was lying, crazy and that I had to run and never look back. That was how Bran and I met. Five minutes after meeting him, he told me I was a Guardian, one of the Nephilim. I was, like, this guys must have escaped from a psych ward.
Interviewer: When you think of Bran, what are some of the things that pop in your head?
Interviewer: Not including Bran, who is your favorite person in the whole entire gang and why?
Lil: Hmm, that’s such an unfair question. They are things about them I like and some that don’t like. If I were choose I’d choose the guys. Sykes makes me laugh and I kind of like that he’s into me. I mean, he’s gorgeous and thinks he’s every girl’s dream man. Remy is very dependable and an amazing listener. He’s gorgeous too in an understated way. Plus, I can discuss anything with him.
Interviewer: What is the most annoying part about being Nephilim?
Lil: Always worrying about being attacked by demons
Interviewer: Since Summer is going on, what are some of your plans for this summer?
Lil: We are canceling Bran’s contracts, we are doing a lot of teleporting all over the Northwest Sector, which covers North and Central America. Hopefully, we’ll get some beach time. We’ll see. I’ve to go now. Kim just pinged me. I’ve got to go before she teleports in here.
Interviewer: Yeah, she is the one with an attitude.
Lil (pretends to zip her lips): She’s a Guardian, so no comment. Nice chatting with you.
