Review : The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
        It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
       There is.
She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.
        She's wrong.

Reading this book almost 4 months ago I feel really late posting my review for this fantastic book. I had been dying to read this book, the advance reviews, the cover, the avatar picture, and just everything about the book just made it sound amazing! I did everything to get my hands on it; I entered giveaways, I pleaded and begged my parents, and I even had my library put it on their list of books to get (they still haven't gotten it...*gasp*). I was lucky enough to get a pre-order copy and, man I was so excited! I started it the minute it came in! Michelle Hodkin still amazed me, even with my super high expectations.
Right on the first page the book starts off with a letter. Right in the beginning the reader is told that the narrator is not Mara Dyer, and it's a pseudonym. Well what! On the first page we are told there is no 'real" Mara Dyer...but the book is called THE UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER! Right there you know the book is going to be more complex, than girl meets guy and they fall in love. The first 5 chapters or so is all back story, which I will not go into, because spoiling is not what I do (unless you are Zareen ;D ).
The book has a strong plot, which keeps you hooked. So hooked that you can't get out, even after finishing the book! There is witty humor, especially from a certain someone who I will talk about in a moment, completely different story that has not been written before, and the book is so dirty it's clean (sexually). So hard to explain, only after reading it would you understand. But the characters are strong willed and hilarious, and they are very shocking. As much as I love Mara, she is an amazing protagonist, I must talk about the amazing, dashing, sexy, British, blue eyed heartthrob....NOAH SHAW!
OMG!!! I love him! If only he actually existed.... Noah is your bad boy, who has a heart. He is rebellious but smart. Sexy and mysterious. He has the British accent, the blue eyes, and just the amazing body. He is amazing! He is also the funniest thing in the book, I love his humor. Both his sarcasm mixed with Mara's equals an epic scene! I totally adore Noah...or as Zareen and I call him...NOAH FREAKIN' SHAW! He is my number one fictitious boyfriend! He is eeep! That is him in one word....EEEEP! <3
As you can tell I completely fell in love with this book. The book ended on such a note, it was really kinda creepy/ scary. So hard not to say anything! But without ruining the book, I can say you are in for a surprise! The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer was an amazingly fantastic book! So epic! I can not wait for book two....which is not coming out fast enough! This is a book everyone will love, paranormal fans, sci-fi, guys, girls, EVERYONE! SO GO AND READ IT IF YOU HAVEN'T!!!! And on this not I would give this book a ∞/5 That is how amazing it is!!!
